If you do not have access to a printer, make sure to arrive 5-10 minutes before your first class and ask your instructor for a waiver. Please use your legal name and include any medical conditions, surgeries, and/or injuries that could affect your safety.

Waitlist Policies
-
If a class you wish to attend is full, you may add yourself to the waitlist on PushPress.

-
Please plan on attending class if you add yourself to the waitlist as spots frequently open up.

-
In the event that a spot becomes available, students on the waitlist will be added to the class in the order they appear on the waitlist and notified by PushPress up to TWO HOURS before the start of class.

-
If a spot opens up in class within TWO HOURS of class start time, you will be contacted and given the option to attend. If you are unable to do so, you will not be penalized.

-
If you are added to class more than two hours before the class begins, you will be held to the same cancellation policy as any other class you sign up for. If you are not sure you will be able to make it on short notice, please remove yourself from the waitlist to avoid being charged in case you get a spot in class.
Student Conduct & Class Observation
In order to ensure that everyone has a safe, inspiring, and fun pole experience while attending Pole at Play classes, please adhere to the following rules:
-
Respect your instructor’s role while attending classes. Listen when instructor is speaking to class and please refrain from side talk or otherwise distracting behavior during instruction as to ensure everyone’s safety.
-
Pole at Play is a diverse welcoming, supportive, and inclusive community. Bullying and otherwise disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated. Such behavior will result in immediate dismissal from class and you will be asked not to return to future classes and will not be eligible for a refund.

-
Please refrain from using cell phones during class.

-
Filming of instruction is not permitted. If you would like to record your class progress, please do so before/after class or wait until routine run through at the end of class and make sure you are the only one in the frame. If your video/photo includes the instructor or other students, please ask for their permission before posting to social media. When posting to social media, please tag us @poleatplay!

-
For the privacy and comfort of your fellow students and your instructor, we do not allow class observations.

-
Please let your instructor know immediately in the event of an injury.

-
Please do not attend class if you are sick.

-
No alcohol is allowed to be consumed before any physical activities at the studio. If you are intoxicated when arriving to our studio, you will not be allowed to participate in class and will not be refunded your money.

Proper Attire

-
Please arrive to class with clean skin, free of any lotions, oils or otherwise slippery products that could impede your ability to effectively grip the pole.

-
Please remove all rings, bracelets, jewelry and avoid wearing clothing/shoes that include rivets, studs, buckles, or other hardware that may scratch the poles or interfere with climbing.

-
Knee pads are strongly recommended.

-
Heels are optional. If you opt for heels, please wear “stripper heels” made for pole dancing. Regular heels may permanently scuff the floors and don’t have the great features (like a platform for floorwork and clacking) that make exotic pole dance so much fun! Pleasers, Ellie, & Hella Heels are the main brands to look for. Also, try to avoid heels that are covered in glitter, have rivets, studs or other decorative hardware.

-
If you notice that your shoes have left scuffs on the laminate flooring, please clean the scuffs off the floor using a rag and rubbing alcohol.

-
Booty shorts are necessary for all intermediate/advanced classes and classes that involve climbing, inverting, pole sits/poses, and spinner pole.

-
Please bring your own grip aid, if needed. Dry Hands is recommended and is available for purchase at the studio. I-tac 2, though marketed as a pole Dancing grip aid, is not recommended.
